Report: Lions adding Chark, re-signing Harris
The Detroit Lions are expected to sign former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver DJ Chark to a one-year deal worth $10 million guaranteed, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
The deal will be worth a maximum of $12 million, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Lions also re-signed pass-rusher Charles Harris to a two-year, $14-million contract, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Harris, a former first-round pick, broke out with the Lions last season. His 7.5 sacks not only led the team, but they were also a career high.
Chark is coming off a 2021 campaign that came to a premature end due to a fractured ankle. He'd caught just seven passes for 154 yards with two touchdowns across four games prior to the season-ending injury. However, his 22 yards per catch was set to be a new career high.
An explosive wideout, the 25-year-old's best performance came three seasons ago when he earned a Pro Bowl invite after recording 73 receptions for 1,008 yards.
He'll join a young Lions receiving group that also features Amon-Ra St. Brown, Josh Reynolds, and Quintez Cephus.
