Brady, Rodgers to take on Mahomes, Allen in The Match
Four of the NFL's most exciting quarterbacks will join the 2022 edition of The Match.
Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers will take on Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen on June 1 in Las Vegas, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback announced Monday.
Brady and Rodgers aren't new to the event. Rodgers teamed up with Bryson DeChambeau to defeat Brady and Phil Mickelson last July. Brady and Mickelson's first appearance in the exhibition event ended in defeat to Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning in 2020.
Mahomes and Allen faced off in the NFL's divisional round last season, with the Kansas City Chiefs defeating the Buffalo Bills in overtime in an instant classic.
Brady, who briefly retired this offseason, eliminated Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in the 2020-21 NFC title game en route to winning Super Bowl LV over the Mahomes-led Chiefs. Rodgers won his fourth NFL MVP award in 2021.
Allen and Brady traded jabs on social media soon after announcing the event.
