Arizona Cardinals
Grade: C
The Cardinals traded their first-round pick for Hollywood Brown, which wasn't the greatest start. It's a nice fit - the former Oklahoma receiver is reunited with Kyler Murray - and he adds some speed opposite DeAndre Hopkins, but it's not exactly the best asset management. Their mid-round picks being spent on a tight end and two edge rushers also feels underwhelming. What about the offensive line? Or the interior defensive line? Arizona added some more skill, but the trenches will likely remain an issue.
Los Angeles Rams
Grade: B-
It's tough to grade a class that has no players selected until the end of the third round. No regrets for the Rams, though - they used those earlier picks to put together their Super Bowl-winning roster. In all likelihood, Bruss is the only immediate starter from this bunch. But keep an eye on Durant - he's a talented and competitive defensive back who could push for a role early on.
San Francisco 49ers
Grade: B
The 49ers had to land an impact pass-rusher somewhere in this draft, and they managed to do that with Drake Jackson, despite not picking until the end of the second round. The Davis-Price pick feels odd, and perhaps unnecessary, but knowing Kyle Shanahan, Davis-Price may step in as the featured runner right away. Gray is a fascinating fit, and certainly the one to watch here. The SMU standout is one of the more underrated receivers in this draft class and brings even more speed to San Francisco's offense. Overall, this was a productive week that could help the 49ers take the next step.
Seattle Seahawks
Grade: B+
It wouldn't have been a surprise to see Cross come off the board in the top five Thursday, so Seattle getting him at No. 9 was a great start. Mafe is good value in the second round, Walker had a case as the class' best running back, and Lucas is another potential starter at offensive tackle - this is an impressive group in terms of talent acquired. The only knock is with the club's strategy: it didn't take a shot on any of the sliding quarterbacks and had three opportunities to do so. Even if the Seahawks are the inevitable landing spot for Baker Mayfield, taking a swing on Malik Willis or Desmond Ridder later on Day 2 would have elevated this class from good to great.
