Bucs' Bowles: Jensen to miss 'couple of months' with knee injury
Tampa Bay Buccaneers center Ryan Jensen is set for a lengthy absence due to a knee injury suffered Thursday.
"I don't know the severity of it per se, but I do know he'll miss some significant time, up to a couple of months," head coach Todd Bowles said Friday, according to Greg Auman of The Athletic.
Bowles said Jensen's ability to return during the back half of the season depends on the final diagnosis of the injury.
Jensen was carted off during Thursday's practice session. Previous reports said the team feared the ailment would be season-ending.
Bowles said the Bucs are considering adding a veteran center in the wake of Jensen's injury, but they also want to give Robert Hainsey and Nick Leverett opportunities, according to Jenna Laine of ESPN.
Jensen hasn't missed a game since joining Tampa Bay in 2018. He's coming off his first Pro Bowl campaign.
