Saints' Dalton set to start 2nd straight game with Winston doubtful
New Orleans Saints quarterback Andy Dalton is expected to start his second straight game Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, head coach Dennis Allen announced Friday, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Jameis Winston is doubtful for the Week 5 meeting due to back and ankle injuries. Michael Thomas will also miss Sunday with a foot injury, Allen added.
In place of Winston, Dalton completed 20 of 28 passes for 236 yards and one touchdown in a 28-25 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4. The Saints were also without Thomas and star running back Alvin Kamara in the loss.
Winston has thrown four touchdowns to five interceptions for a 79.5 passer rating over his three starts this season.
New Orleans has lost three consecutive games since opening its year with a victory against the Atlanta Falcons.
