DeSean Jackson signing with Ravens for 15th season
The Baltimore Ravens are signing veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson to their practice squad, his agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Jackson visited the Ravens for a free-agent visit Tuesday prior to the signing. He previously mentioned Baltimore as one of his top three potential destinations, along with the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles.
The 35-year-old split last season between the Los Angeles Rams and Las Vegas Raiders. He suited up for 16 total games, catching 20 passes for 454 yards and two touchdowns.
Jackson built a reputation throughout his time in the NFL for his speed and downfield ability. He's averaged 17.6 yards per reception over his career and has led the league in that category on four occasions.
Rashod Bateman and Devin Duvernay headline the Ravens' receiving corps. Bateman has recorded 243 receiving yards, while Duvernay has added 240 yards of his own. No other wide receiver on the team has eclipsed 100 yards.
Baltimore heads into its Week 7 meeting against the Cleveland Browns with a 3-3 record.
