Report: Stafford re-enters concussion protocol
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has re-entered the concussion protocol, reports Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
Stafford was inactive against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10 due to a concussion. He was cleared to play in Week 11 versus the New Orleans Saints but left the game in the third quarter to be evaluated for a concussion again and didn't return.
The 34-year-old has completed 68% of his passes this campaign while passing for 2,087 yards and only 10 touchdowns against eight interceptions. He helped Los Angeles win the Super Bowl in his first year with the team last season.
The Rams also roster quarterbacks Bryce Perkins and John Wolford, the latter of whom started against the Cardinals but was inactive in Week 11 due to a neck injury. Head coach Sean McVay said Monday the Rams have discussed signing another quarterback, according to Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network.
Perkins was 5-for-10 passing with 64 yards and gained 39 yards on five rushing attempts after replacing Stafford on Sunday.
The Rams, who sit fourth in the NFC West with a 3-7 record, visit the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12.
