New York Jets defensive lineman Quinnen Williams injured his calf during Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Williams appeared to suffer a noncontact injury while planting his leg awkwardly and falling to the ground. Trainers attended to him on the field, and he walked off under his own power before being ruled out for the remainder of the contest.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh said postgame that Williams is day-to-day and has a chance to play in Week 15 against the Detroit Lions, according to Connor Hughes of SNY.

The 24-year-old entered Week 14 with a team-high nine sacks and added two more against the Bills before exiting. It's the first time Williams, the No. 3 pick in the 2019 draft, has recorded double-digit sacks in a season.

If Williams is sidelined, Solomon Thomas would likely take on an expanded role alongside Sheldon Rankins and John Franklin-Myers.
