Jaguars' Lawrence: Subpar London game 'flipped a switch in me'
Few quarterbacks have played better than Trevor Lawrence lately.
The Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback was inconsistent in the first half of the season but has since become one of the NFL's most efficient passers. On Wednesday, he said his disappointing outing in London against the Denver Broncos in Week 8 marked a turning point.
"(We) should have won that game," Lawrence said, according to ESPN's Michael DiRocco. "I remember I never forgot how I felt in that locker room, so I don't want to feel like this anymore. I'm going to: one, start taking care of the ball, but two, I just want to be the player that I know I can be.
"And I think that kind of flipped a switch in me, and honestly, too, I think I have a little bit more of a chip on my shoulder now."
Lawrence, who tossed only 12 touchdowns against a league-high 17 interceptions as a rookie last year, completed just 58% of his passes for 133 yards and one touchdown to two interceptions against Denver. The Broncos beat the Jaguars 21-17.
But the 2021 first overall pick has been on fire since.

"Last year-and-a-half, I don't really forget what's been said and what people have written," Lawrence added. "Now you see people change their mind after a couple weeks, but I remember everything. I don't use that necessarily as my only fuel, but (I) definitely use that, and I think that's something this team's done."
The 5-8 Jaguars rank second in the AFC South behind the 7-6 Tennessee Titans. Jacksonville, which hosts the Dallas Cowboys in Week 15, has a 14% chance of making the playoffs, according to FiveThirtyEight.
