Rodgers: 'Things are looking up' for Packers' playoff push
Aaron Rodgers has been impressed with the Green Bay Packers' turnaround after the team kept its playoff hopes alive with a win over the Los Angeles Rams on Monday.
Since dropping to 4-8 in Week 12, the Packers have won two in a row and now sit 10th in the NFC's playoff picture.
"Before the (Chicago) Bears week, we knew we had a bye afterwards, and those of us who sometimes peek ahead knew that we had to win five and then have a lot of things go our way," Rodgers said postgame, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. "So we've won two and just about everything we needed to happen has gone our way. Just about, right? So things are looking up."
The Detroit Lions (7-7), Seattle Seahawks (7-7), and the Washington Commanders (7-6-1) - who hold the final playoff spot - are ahead of the Packers in the conference wild-card race.
Green Bay will close out its season with matchups against the Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, and Lions. The Packers lost to the Vikings and Lions earlier this season.
"Miami's playing for the playoffs. Minnesota's obviously division winners and coming off a big win. Detroit's won, what, six out of seven; they're playing really well," Rodgers said. "So it's going to be three difficult games."
The Packers haven't missed the postseason since the 2018 campaign.
