Head coach Pete Carroll confirmed to Seattle Sports on Monday that Brooks suffered an ACL injury. Carroll described the ailment as "legit" but did not specify the severity.
Brooks exited Sunday's contest after playing just 26 defensive snaps and did not return.
The 25-year-old has been a consistent starter for the Seahawks over the last two seasons, racking up 345 combined tackles since 2021.
His 161 combined tackles in 2022 rank third in the NFL, while his 103 solo tackles only trail Foyesade Oluokun (119) for the league lead.
The 8-8 Seahawks head into the final week of the season as the NFC's No. 7 seed but do not control their own destiny.
