Report: Kingsbury bought 1-way ticket to Thailand, not looking to coach in 2023
Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury isn't in a rush to coach again and has purchased a one-way ticket to Thailand, according to FOX Sports' Peter Schrager.
Kingsbury declined interest from several NFL teams that contacted him regarding potential interviews, reports Schrager. It's unknown at this time when Kingsbury will return from Thailand or coach again.
The Cardinals fired Kingsbury on Monday after going 4-13 this season. He went 28-37-1 with the club.
The 43-year-old joined Arizona after six seasons as Texas Tech's head coach. Despite his 35-40 record at the college level, he was widely regarded as an offensive guru who would elevate the Cardinals.
Though Kingsbury is no longer with the team, he'll remain on Arizona's payroll for the next five years after signing a contract extension before the 2022 season.
