Chiefs' Kelce active vs. Bengals
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is active for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Cincinnati Bengals despite battling a back injury, the team announced.
Kelce popped up on the injury report Friday with a back injury and was listed as questionable. The Chiefs were waiting to see how Kelce looked in pre-game warmups before making a final call on his status, according to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer.
Kelce has used an anti-inflammatory every day since experiencing back spasms on the final play of Friday's practice, Glazer reports.
The 33-year-old, who was a full participant in Friday's practice, has played in every game this season.
Kelce is having a career year, hauling in 110 catches for 1,338 yards and 12 touchdowns. He had 14 catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs' divisional-round win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Wide receiver Mecole Hardman will also suit up for Sunday's meeting with the Bengals. Hardman, who was questionable with a pelvis injury, hasn't played since Week 9.
