Report: Thielen to visit Panthers after release from Vikings
The Carolina Panthers are expected to host former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen on a visit Wednesday, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Minnesota released Thielen on March 10 following nine seasons after the sides failed to agree on a reworked contract. The 32-year-old caught 70 passes for 716 yards and six touchdowns in 17 games last year.
Thielen has spent his entire career with the Vikings since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He earned consecutive Pro Bowl nods in 2017 and 2018 after amassing at least 1,200 receiving yards in each of those years. The Minnesota State product has racked up 6,682 yards and 55 touchdowns on 534 catches in 153 career games for Minnesota.
The Panthers have been looking for help at wide receiver since sending D.J. Moore to the Chicago Bears as part of a trade for the first overall pick in next month's draft.
