Report: Bengals signing Brown to 4-year, $64M deal

The Cincinnati Bengals are signing offensive tackle Orlando Brown to a four-year, $64.092-million contract, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The deal includes a $31-million signing bonus, which is the largest ever for an offensive lineman, per Pelissero.

Brown will receive $42.3 million of his deal through Year 2, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets also expressed interest in Brown's services, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports.

The 6-foot-8 blocker began his career with the Baltimore Ravens before joining the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of the 2021 campaign. Brown has made four consecutive Pro Bowls. He also won Super Bowl LVII with the Chiefs in February.

Cincinnati will play Brown at left tackle, which he was adamant about, reports NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

"I'm super thankful for the opportunity to carry on my father's legacy and be a left tackle," Brown told Garafolo. "It was important to be able to play that position and play for a winning team and a winning quarterback. Who Dey!"

Brown's father was a left tackle for the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens from 1994-2005.

Cincinnati's incumbent left tackle is Jonah Williams, whose contract is set to expire after the 2023 season. It's unclear where the Bengals will play Williams.
