Sources: Ravens signing Agholor to 1-year deal worth up to $6.25M
The Baltimore Ravens are signing veteran wide receiver Nelson Agholor to a one-year contract worth up to $6.25 million, sources told Jordan Schultz, theScore's NFL insider.
The Ravens announced that Agholor agreed to join the team on Friday but didn't reveal the length or terms of the contract.
Agholor spent the last two seasons with the New England Patriots. The 29-year-old racked up 31 receptions, 362 yards, and two touchdowns in 2022, his lowest marks since his rookie year.
He previously spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles (2015-19) and Las Vegas Raiders (2020). The USC product set career highs with 896 receiving yards (18.7 per catch) and eight touchdowns in 2020.
Wide receiver was one of Baltimore's main needs this offseason. The Ravens' depth chart at the position currently features Rashod Bateman, Devin Duvernay, and James Proche, among others.
Tight end Mark Andrews led the team in receiving for the second straight year in 2022, catching 73 passes for 847 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games.
The Ravens didn't draft a wide receiver last year but previously selected four wideouts in the first three rounds from 2019-21, including Bateman 27th overall two years ago. Baltimore owns the No. 22 choice in next month's draft.
