Cardinals unveil new uniforms with monochromatic theme
The Arizona Cardinals unveiled their first major uniform redesign since 2005 on Thursday.
Arizona is going for a cleaner look that'll now feature all-red home uniforms and all-white road attire. The Cardinals, who are keeping their traditional white helmets, also announced their new alternate uniform.
"When we were looking at all of the different options and considering the elements we wanted to have involved, one of the things is we wanted a really clean look," owner Michael Bidwill said, according to team reporter Darren Urban.
All three uniforms feature perforated twill numbers, as well as the franchise's primary logo on the back above the nameplate.
The Cardinals' home uniforms specifically will feature several new details, including the state's name on the front of the jersey above the number for the first time.
This marks the fourth uniform change in franchise history.
