The Kansas City Chiefs are heading to the White House.
President Joe Biden will host the Chiefs at the White House on June 5 to celebrate the franchise's Super Bowl-winning 2022 campaign, the team announced Tuesday.
It'll mark the Chiefs' first-ever visit to the White House to celebrate a Super Bowl title, according to Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star. Kansas City didn't make a presidential visit following its Super Bowl LIV win over the San Francisco 49ers due to COVID-19.
Kansas City's triumph over the Philadelphia Eagles in February secured the franchise's third Lombardi Trophy. Patrick Mahomes was named Super Bowl MVP after throwing for three touchdowns to zero interceptions in the 38-35 win.
