Assault charge against Raiders' Adams dismissed
A misdemeanor assault charge against Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams for shoving a crew member at Arrowhead Stadium last year was dismissed, a spokeswoman for the Kansas City municipal court said Friday, according to Robert A. Cronkleton of the Kansas City Star.
The case is now considered closed.
Adams shoved Park Zebley, a freelance photographer working for Monday Night Football, on his way to the locker room following the Raiders' loss to the Chiefs on Oct. 10. The receiver apologized later that night.
Zebley filed a civil lawsuit against Adams, the Raiders, and the Chiefs, among others over the incident. Zebley said in the complaint that he was diagnosed with concussion symptoms and feared for his life following the ordeal. The lawsuit is still pending, according to Cronkleton.
Adams played his first season as a member of the Raiders in 2022 after being acquired in a trade from the Green Bay Packers.
