The Miami Dolphins ruled out wide receiver Jaylen Waddle for their Week 3 matchup against the Denver Broncos due to a concussion, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Waddle was a limited participant in Friday's practice after missing the previous two days of preparation, but he didn't clear concussion protocol.

The 24-year-old hauled in eight receptions for 164 yards through two games this season.

Tyreek Hill will continue to be the team's top option, with River Cracraft, Braxton Berrios, Cedrick Wilson, and Erik Ezukanma offering depth behind him.

In addition, the club elevated receiver Robbie Chosen from the practice squad for the contest.

Waddle has been an integral part of Miami's offense since he was drafted sixth overall in the 2021 draft. The 5-foot-10 speedster eclipsed 1,000 yards in each of his first two NFL campaigns, including 1,356 last season. He's also scored 14 touchdowns in 35 career games.
