Burrow active for MNF vs. Rams
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is active for Monday night's matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, the team announced.
Burrow has been bothered by a calf injury in the buildup to the Super Bowl LVI rematch. He ended the week as questionable after practicing in a limited capacity Friday and Saturday.
The 26-year-old will be less than 100% for Monday's game due to the ailment, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Burrow originally strained his calf in late July before aggravating it in the fourth quarter of last Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Jake Browning is the No. 2 quarterback on Cincinnati's depth chart. The Bengals also signed veteran quarterback AJ McCarron, who began his career in Cincinnati, to their practice squad Saturday.
Cincinnati will be without tight end Irv Smith Jr. on Monday due to a hamstring issue.
The Bengals' offense has struggled over the course of the team's 0-2 start. Burrow has competed just 56.9% of his passes for two touchdowns and one interception.
