Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is not expected to come off the physically unable to perform list when he's eligible on Monday, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The signal-caller tore his ACL in a December 2022 matchup against the New England Patriots and continues to rehab the injury.

Murray, the No. 1 pick in the 2019 draft, would reportedly like to return at some point this season. The 26-year-old likes the direction the offense is going under new offensive coordinator Drew Petzing and likes what Jonathan Gannon has done as the team's head coach.

Murray can start practicing as early as Monday and the team can have him start training at any time in the next five weeks. The club will have three weeks from the day he takes to the field to put him on the active roster. If Murray can't return by the end of those deadlines he'll have to spend the entire season on the PUP list.

Arizona has started Josh Dobbs at quarterback for the first three weeks of the season. Dobbs joined the team shortly before 2023 action started after ending the 2022 campaign with the Tennessee Titans.

Murray, a former Offensive Rookie of the Year winner, finished last season with 2,368 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in 11 games. He also ran for 418 yards and three scores on 67 carries.
