The Miami Dolphins are placing left tackle Terron Armstead on injured reserve due to a knee injury, head coach Mike McDaniel announced Friday, according to David Furones of the Sun Sentinel.

McDaniel expects Armstead to return at some point this season, per ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques. His placement on IR will sideline him for at least four games.

The 32-year-old suffered the knee injury in Miami's Week 4 defeat against the Buffalo Bills. Kendall Lamm filled in for Armstead during the contest and is expected to continue as his replacement.

Armstead made his season debut in Week 3 after missing the first two games of the 2023 campaign with back, ankle, and knee injuries.

The Dolphins signed Armstead to a five-year, $75-million contract during the 2022 offseason. He missed four games in his first year in Miami, but his play over 13 contests earned him a Pro Bowl invite.
