The Los Angeles Rams are trading wide receiver Van Jefferson to the Atlanta Falcons, the teams announced Tuesday.

The teams will swap sixth- and seventh-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft as a part of the deal.

Jefferson fell down the Rams' depth chart this season after Tutu Atwell and rookie star Puka Nacua emerged as more frequent targets. The former second-round pick only played two snaps against the Philadelphia Eagles after Cooper Kupp returned from injury.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Jefferson joins a wide receiver room featuring Drake London, Mack Hollins, Scott Miller, and KhaDarel Hodge. London leads the wideouts with 17 receptions, 204 yards, and a pair of touchdowns, but tight ends Jonnu Smith (246) and Kyle Pitts (208) outpace the receiver in yardage.

With Jefferson's diminished role in Los Angeles, he's only had eight receptions for 108 yards this season. His best campaign came in 2021 when he hauled in 50 catches for 802 yards and six touchdowns.

Jefferson has appeared in 49 career games, catching 101 passes for 1,499 yards and 10 touchdowns.
