Broncos' Javonte Williams off injury report ahead of TNF
Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams was removed from the team's injury report heading into Week 6.
Williams last played in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears but was only available on 17% of the team's offensive snaps. A quad injury has kept the 23-year-old sidelined.
The former second-round pick was only available for four games last season due to a torn ACL but showed promise as a rookie in 2021. He totaled 1,219 total yards and seven touchdowns in his debut campaign while averaging five yards per touch.
Williams returns to the Broncos in time to face the divisional rival Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football. The Chiefs have allowed 97.2 rushing yards and 16 points per game. Those marks rank 11th and tied for fifth in the NFL, respectively.
The tailback has run for 138 yards and caught 11 passes for 51 yards this season.
