Report: Dolphins' Ramsey ahead of schedule, could practice this week
Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey could be back a lot sooner than expected.
Ramsey is far ahead of schedule in his recovery from knee surgery and could return to practice as early as this week, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
The veteran cornerback underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee in July. He was reportedly expected to be sidelined until December. However, he is pushing to play in November, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Ramsey previously promised that he would beat his injury timeline by a month.
Miami acquired the six-time Pro Bowl cornerback in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams during the offseason.
Ramsey's return would aid a Dolphins defense that ranks 26th in points allowed and 23rd in yardage allowed. Miami entered Week 6 of the 2023 season with a 4-1 record atop the AFC East.
