Running back Jahmyr Gibbs' monster game Monday night may only be a preview of what's to come, according to Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell.

"Every week, he's just gotten a little bit better and a little bit better. I thought last week was his best game, and this week certainly surpassed that," Campbell told reporters, including Grant Gordon of NFL.com. "I think the more he gains his own confidence in his own abilities in this league, he's just going to continue to grow."

He added: "I think this was kind of the tip of the iceberg, if you will, for what he's able to do and going to be able to do. Really proud of him."

Gibbs rushed for a career-high 152 yards and one touchdown in Monday's 26-14 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. The rookie also added 37 yards on five catches to give him 189 total yards from scrimmage.

"I didn't know he was that fast, and he just makes it look effortless out there, and it makes us look better," Offensive tackle Penei Sewell said, according to ESPN's Eric Woodyard.

Drafted with the 12th overall pick, Gibbs was expected to be a big piece of the Lions' offense. However, he endured a slow start to the season as the team gave the majority of the workload to veteran back David Montgomery.

Over his last two games, Gibbs has totaled 315 yards from scrimmage, with 220 of that coming on the ground.
