Bengals' Chase day-to-day due to shoulder injury
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is day-to-day due to a shoulder injury, head coach Zac Taylor announced Sunday, according to ESPN's Ben Baby.
Chase is dealing with an AC joint sprain sustained late in the fourth quarter of Saturday's 27-24 overtime victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
The two-time Pro Bowler leads the Bengals with 93 receptions for 1,156 yards and seven touchdown catches this season. He's topped 1,000 yards each year since entering the NFL as the fifth overall pick in 2021.
With Chase sidelined late versus Minnesota, Tee Higgins came up clutch, amassing four catches, 61 yards, and two touchdowns, including a 21-yard score to help tie the matchup and send it to overtime with 39 seconds left.
Cincy has now won three in a row despite losing quarterback Joe Burrow for the season to a wrist injury. The 8-6 Bengals are currently the No. 6 seed in the AFC.
