Purdy, Tagovailoa headline 2024 Pro Bowl rosters
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa headline the 2024 Pro Bowl rosters, the NFL unveiled Wednesday.
Purdy led all players with 451,864 fan votes, while Tagovailoa - who was named a starter over MVP favorite and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson - received an AFC-high 414,502 votes.
San Francisco will send a league-best nine players this season, while the Ravens and Dallas Cowboys each saw seven Pro Bowlers selected. The Niners also have 12 Pro Bowl alternates, which could give them a whopping 21 players at the All-Star event.
The New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Washington Commanders, and Carolina Panthers are without a Pro Bowler this season. It's the first time no Patriots player has been selected since 2000.
Starting last year, the NFL replaced its traditional Pro Bowl with weeklong competitions between the AFC and NFC, including flag football contests. The Pro Bowl Games take place Feb. 4 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.
