Bengals' Chase active after 1-game absence
Ja'Marr Chase can officially back up his viral pregame comments about the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver - who didn't play last week due to a shoulder injury - is active for Sunday's crucial game against the Chiefs.
Chase was originally listed as questionable after being a limited participant at practice on Thursday and Friday. He was able to go through his usual pregame routine in Week 17.
The star wideout went viral on Thursday for saying that nothing stands out about the Chiefs' secondary, adding that Kansas City often doubles its opponent's top wideouts "because they can't do it one-on-one."
Chase leads Cincinnati with 93 catches for 1,156 yards and seven touchdowns this season. The 2021 No. 5 pick has topped 1,000 yards in each of his three NFL seasons.
With Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd, the Bengals boast one of the NFL's best wide receiver corps. Cincy - which is currently the AFC's No. 10 seed with an 8-7 record - likely needs to win its final two regular-season games to have a realistic shot at making the playoffs.
