New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham took to X to defend quarterback Jameis Winston following the controversial end of the team's 48-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

"Get off (Winston's) back," Graham wrote in a tweet on Monday. "This man is the best teammate I've ever had. Loves this city, this game, and embodies everything you can ask for in a leader."

Saints players elected to score from the 1-yard line late in a blowout win despite head coach Dennis Allen calling for the team to kneel out the clock. Now-fired Falcons head coach Arthur Smith confronted Allen after the game about the play.

Winston came under fire postgame when he confirmed that the players made the decision so running back Jamaal Williams could score his first touchdown of the season.

Graham wrote that it "was a rare situation, and we all take responsibility," adding that "nobody thought it would get blown out of proportion."

Graham, who has posted 70 receptions for 855 yards and 11 touchdowns in 15 career games against Atlanta, made sure to leave one last message for the longtime division rivals in his tweet.

"Also, f*ck the Falcons," Graham wrote.
