The Houston Texans and tight end Dalton Schultz agreed to terms on a three-year deal worth $36 million ahead of free agency, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The contract includes $23.5 million fully guaranteed, Rapoport adds.
Schultz was slated to become an unrestricted free agent after joining Houston on a one-year contract last offseason.
The 27-year-old was a key target for quarterback C.J. Stroud in 2023, catching 59 receptions for 635 yards and five touchdowns.
Selected in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, Schultz has produced 2,757 yards and 22 touchdowns across six seasons.
