Ravens' Madubuike gets 4-year deal, reported $98M
The Baltimore Ravens are signing franchise-tagged defensive tackle Justin Madubuike to a four-year deal, the club announced Friday.
The contract is worth $98 million and includes $75.5 million in guarantees, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
"Justin is one of the best defensive tackles in the entire NFL and a cornerstone on our defense," general manager Eric DeCosta said in a statement.
Madubuike's new contract has the highest overall value among interior defensive linemen, according to Over the Cap. The $24.5-million average annual value ranks second among defensive tackles. Los Angeles Rams standout Aaron Donald makes an average of roughly $31.7 million.
Madubuike received Baltimore's franchise tag earlier this week after a breakout 2023 campaign. The 26-year-old set career highs with 13 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, 33 quarterback hits, and a forced fumble in 17 starts.
The Texas A&M product has 21.5 sacks, 29 tackles for loss, and 49 quarterback hits in 59 career games since being selected No. 71 overall in the 2020 draft.
