The Green Bay Packers are signing safety Xavier McKinney to a four-year, $68-million contract, his agent told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
McKinney gave a shoutout to Cheeseheads on X shortly after the deal was announced.
The New York Giants wanted to retain McKinney but were only willing to offer around $13 million per year, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
McKinney racked up 116 total tackles, 11 pass deflections, and three interceptions in 2023. He also forced a fumble and recovered a pair of fumbles.
The former second-round pick has 279 tackles, 27 deflections, and nine interceptions in 49 career games.
Safety Darnell Savage reportedly left the Packers to join the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier Monday.
