Jets unveil new uniforms, logo
The New York Jets revealed their new uniforms and logo for the 2024 season, which will make their "Sack Exchange" throwback uniforms permanent.
The Jets wore their "legacy white" throwback uniforms for two games in 2023, and the collection will be supported by new legacy green and legacy black jerseys starting in 2024.
Their new logo is a callback to 1978. New York had used a football-shaped logo since 2019.
"We work for the fans," Jets chairman Woody Johnson said in a statement. "They have consistently asked for us to return to our roots, and we heard them. The new uniforms are explicitly designed to look and feel like the New York Jets while refreshing the club's iconic logo - viewed by fans as our most identifiable mark."
The Jets earned the "New York Sack Exchange" moniker in the 1980s thanks to the success of their defensive line group, consisting of Mark Gastineau, Joe Klecko, Marty Lyons, and Abdul Salaam.
