49ers' Aiyuk: 'They don't want me back'
Things are not looking good for the San Francisco 49ers and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
Aiyuk shared a video Monday on TikTok where he tells Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, "They said they don't want me back."
The 26-year-old wideout is entering the final season of his rookie contract. He's seeking an extension but has not found common ground with the 49ers.
Negotiations have "stalled a bit" between the franchise and Aiyuk, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler recently reported.
Aiyuk did not report for offseason training activities or mandatory minicamp and could be fined up to $104,259.
The 49ers wideout reportedly set the four-year, $120.01-million extension that Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown signed in May as a benchmark for his own new deal. San Francisco and Aiyuk reportedly weren't close to an agreement before St. Brown signed.
Aiyuk set a career high in receiving yards (1,342) and yards per reception (17.9) in 2023. His 75 receptions also led the team.
