Davante Adams took a shot at the Los Angeles Chargers after their viral tweet about the Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver in May.

The Chargers posted a thread on X with their 2024 opponents as "Pop Tarts" before the NFL's official schedule announcement on May 15. Los Angeles included a photo of Adams next to a garbage can.

On Tuesday, Adams reminded the Chargers of how dominant he's been against them lately.

"I thought about responding on social media to it, being funny there, but I figured it would be better to just beat their head in real life," Adams said Tuesday on "Up & Adams." "I just wanted to kind of remind them what they've been going through as it pertains to playing against me."

He added: "Hopefully, the people that made that post - because it's not the players' fault, they didn't have anything to do with the post. This is directed strictly toward the Chargers' social media page: Please keep my name out your mouth and show some respect."

Adams - who played his first eight NFL seasons in the NFC as a member of the Green Bay Packers - has put on a show in four games against the Chargers since joining the Raiders as part of a blockbuster trade during the 2022 offseason. Here are his numbers versus L.A. over the last two years:

Year Week Catches Yards TDs
2022 1 10 141 1
2022 13 8 177 2
2023 4 8 75 0
2023 15 8 101 1

Adams - who also faced the Chargers back in 2019 with Green Bay - has posted 535 receiving yards versus Los Angeles, the most he's recorded against any AFC opponent.

The 31-year-old won't have to wait long to face Los Angeles again, as the Raiders are scheduled to visit the Chargers in Week 1 this season. The division rivals will also face off in Week 18.
