Bills signing veteran Kareem Jackson to 1-year deal
The Buffalo Bills are signing veteran safety Kareem Jackson to a one-year deal, the team announced Tuesday.
Jackson finished the 2023 campaign with the Houston Texans after he was waived by the Denver Broncos following a pair of suspensions for illegal hits. The 5-foot-10, 183-pounder tallied 53 total tackles, a pair of interceptions, and three pass breakups in 10 games.
The 36-year-old provides experience to a safety room that's set to be without Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde for the first time since 2016. Poyer joined the Miami Dolphins in free agency, while Hyde remains unsigned.
Buffalo also rosters Taylor Rapp, Mike Edwards, and second-round rookie Cole Bishop, among others.
Jackson, a first-round pick in the 2010 draft, has tallied 954 total tackles, 22 interceptions, and 110 pass deflections in 203 career games.
