Falcons place Moore on injured reserve
The Atlanta Falcons placed wide receiver Rondale Moore on injured reserve with a knee injury, the club announced Thursday.
Moore was reportedly carted off the field while wearing an air cast on his leg after suffering the injury Wednesday during the Falcons' joint practice with the Miami Dolphins.
Atlanta acquired Moore in a trade this offseason, sending quarterback Desmond Ridder to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for the 24-year-old receiver.
Moore was expected to compete for receiver reps in addition to kick and punt return duties this year.
The 5-foot-7, 180-pounder has recorded 1,450 scrimmage yards and four touchdowns in 39 games since being drafted 49th overall in 2021. Moore has also accumulated 182 yards as a punt returner and 291 yards returning kicks.
