Multiple teams have inquired about trading for New England Patriots edge rusher Matthew Judon, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Judon is currently in a contract stalemate with the club and is looking for a new deal. He's due $6.5 million after agreeing to an adjusted contract with the Patriots last summer.

New England made a contract offer to Judon this summer, but the four-time Pro Bowler rejected it, Fowler adds.

The 31-year-old returned to practice a couple of weeks ago after visibly arguing with head coach Jerod Mayo on the sidelines at practice. He also reportedly had an animated discussion with team executives Mike Groh and Eliot Wolf.

"We had a conversation. I didn't want to be a distraction to the team, so I went inside," Judon told reporters last week, according to Dhani Joseph of Yahoo Sports.

He added, "I wasn't participating in those drills that day. I went inside, and then I got a message, so I came back and talked to the GM, our GM. Then I went back inside. Sorry, I'm animated. I talk with my hands."

The Grand Valley State product also said he's willing to play the 2024 season on his current contract.

"I got to play. I didn't say nothing about practice," Judon said, per Matt Geagan of CBS. "I have to go out there and play, play the game. Do what I'm contracted and obligated to do so I don't lose money."

Judon suffered a torn bicep last year, which limited him to four contests. However, he's been exceptional with the Patriots since they signed him to a four-year deal in 2021, totaling 32 sacks in 38 games.
