Seattle Seahawks pass-rusher Uchenna Nwosu is expected to miss two-to-six weeks with a sprained MCL, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Nwosu could begin the season on injured reserve, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The 27-year-old sustained the injury in the club's 37-33 preseason victory over the Cleveland Browns on Saturday.

Derick Hall and Boye Mafe will likely receive more playing time while Nwosu is sidelined. The team also traded a late-round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars for Trevis Gipson on Monday.

Nwosu appeared in six games in 2023. The 6-foot-2, 251-pounder tallied 16 total tackles (four for loss), two sacks, and a pair of forced fumbles before being placed on injured reserve with a torn pectoral.

The USC product was one of Seattle's most productive edge rushers in 2022, racking up 9.5 sacks and 12 tackles for loss in 17 starts.
