Mahomes: Taylor Swift started drawing up plays
Taylor Swift may not only be celebrating Travis Kelce touchdowns - she could be drawing up plays for him, too.
During an interview with Chris Simms of NBC, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes discussed the impact of having Swift around and joked that they might have to run one of her plays.
"I think it's been cool to see the girls and the women that have really embraced watching football," Mahomes said. "I know being a girl dad, how cool it is for me to see like these little girls, these daughters, and how much they're loving to spend time with their dad, watching football. And then meeting Taylor, realizing how genuine and cool she is, I think that's been special to me because she's, like you said, the most famous person in the world.
"And she's really interested in football, and she asks a lot of great questions. Started drawing up plays. We might have to put one in."
Swift's support for her partner Kelce and presence at Chiefs games generated numerous headlines during the team's run to winning Super Bowl LVIII. However, coverage of Swift during games was also met with criticism at times, with even Kelce saying broadcasters were "overdoing it" last season.
The Chiefs open their pursuit of capturing a third straight Super Bowl against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 5.
