New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh doesn't expect edge rusher Haason Reddick to be available when his club takes on the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.

"That would be fair," Saleh told reporters Saturday when asked if the disgruntled defender will miss the contest.

Reddick has yet to report to the team since being acquired for a conditional third-round pick from the Philadelphia Eagles in March. He is seeking a new deal and even requested a trade in August due to the lack of progress on an extension.

"Everyone goes through their own process," Saleh said. "I'll stand firm that when he gets here we're gonna welcome him with open arms, we're gonna love him up and he's going to be a part of this football team."

He added: "He's got to sort through the financial stuff, which is none of my business. ... Our job is to help these guys make money, so I always stay clear of it. Our job is to coach him when he gets here."

The 30-year-old is in the final season of a three-year, $45-million contract he signed with the Eagles in 2022. Other edge rushers on the Jets' roster include Micheal Clemons, Jermaine Johnson, Will McDonald, and Takkarist McKinley.

Reddick tallied 50.5 sacks and 13 forced fumbles over the last four seasons.
