Love 'hopeful' of returning vs. Titans
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love believes there's a chance he could return against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
Love, who's recovering from a knee injury suffered in a Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, practiced Wednesday for the first time since getting hurt.
"I'm going to take the week and just take it day by day and see how it feels," Love said Wednesday, according to Ryan Wood of USA Today. "I'm not going to make any decisions right now. I'm hopeful that I can get to that point where I can get in there, but we're just going to take it day by day."
Love missed his team's victory against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2 as Malik Willis filled in under center. Willis completed 12 of 14 attempts for 122 yards and added 41 yards on the ground. The Packers tailored their game plan toward the ground attack with Love sidelined, as running back Josh Jacobs tallied 151 yards on 32 attempts.
The Packers have remained optimistic about Love returning sooner rather than later, with Matt LaFleur stating prior to Week 2 that the quarterback would not go on IR.
If Love is sidelined again, Willis will get a chance to play against his former team, which traded him to the Packers for a 2025 seventh-round pick in August.
