Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London regrets pantomiming firing a gun while celebrating his go-ahead touchdown on Monday Night Football versus the Philadelphia Eagles.

"It's a trend around football right now to do that type of celebration," London said, according to Marc Raimondi of ESPN. "It was my first Monday Night Football game. I kind of lost myself in there. I wasn't happy with the position I put my team in."

Kicker Younghoe Koo was forced to attempt a 48-yard extra point after London was flagged for the celebration. The veteran nailed the kick, however, giving Atlanta a 22-21 lead with 34 seconds remaining.

Atlanta hosted Apalachee High School's football team at its practice facility this week, a few days after a school shooting killed four people. Falcons players wore T-shirts during warmup ahead of their Week 1 contest to support the school.

"There's a lot of stuff going around in the world with gun violence that I don't think I should have displayed there," London added. "So, I'm not too happy with it, and (you) probably won't see that again from me."

Head coach Raheem Morris said Tuesday that London apologized for the celebration postgame. The 23-year-old has eight catches for 69 yards and one touchdown this season.
