Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith sustained a concussion during Sunday's 15-12 win over the New Orleans Saints.

Smith went down early in the fourth quarter after taking a hard hit that knocked off his helmet. No penalty was called on the play. The wideout spent time in the medical tent after being helped off the field and later went to the locker room to be evaluated.

Smith - Philly's top wide receiver in Week 3 - caught seven passes for 79 yards before exiting the matchup. The two-time 1,000-yard pass-catcher signed a three-year, $75-million deal in April.

The Eagles entered the contest versus the Saints without All-Pro wideout A.J. Brown, who's been dealing with a hamstring injury. Brown - who's already missed two games - said last week that he expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks. Philadelphia also lost All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson to a concussion earlier in the game.

With Brown and Smith sidelined, tight end Dallas Goedert stepped up for the Eagles, recording 10 catches for 170 yards. He converted a clutch third-and-16 late in the fourth quarter with a 61-yard catch-and-run play to help set up Philadelphia's game-winning touchdown.
