Report: Lions' Davenport could miss season with elbow injury
Detroit Lions edge rusher Marcus Davenport could miss the remainder of the season with a significant elbow injury, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Davenport is undergoing more tests to confirm the severity of the ailment, Rapoport adds.
The 28-year-old missed the team's Week 2 contest with a groin injury before returning to the lineup and playing 68% of the club's defensive snaps in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Davenport signed a one-year, $6.5-million free-agent deal with the Lions during the offseason. He's tallied two total tackles, four quarterback hits, and a half-sack in two games with the team.
The 6-foot-6, 265-pounder has tallied 24 sacks and 27 tackles for loss since being selected in the first round of the 2018 draft.
