Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen is being placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury, the team announced Tuesday.

Thielen will be required to miss at least four games on the reserve list. He's expected to return sooner than later, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The 34-year-old sustained the injury while hauling in a touchdown in the club's 36-22 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He finished the contest with three receptions for 40 yards and the score.

First-round selection Xavier Legette is likely to see an increase in playing time with Thielen sidelined. Legette has played 55% of the team's offensive snaps through three games.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder will miss matchups against the Cincinnati Bengals, Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, and Washington Commanders before being eligible to return to the active roster.

Thielen led the Panthers with 1,014 yards in 2023. He also had four receiving touchdowns.
