Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford moved into 10th place for most career passing yards in NFL history during Sunday's 24-18 loss to the Chicago Bears.

Stafford entered the Week 4 matchup 222 yards behind Eli Manning, who passed for 57,023 yards. The Rams star jumped Manning with a short pass to running back Kyren Williams in the fourth quarter versus the Bears. He finished the day with 20 completions on 29 attempts for 224 yards and no touchdowns.

Stafford's day didn't end on a high note, though, as he threw an interception that sealed Chicago's win with 1:03 left in the game.

New York Jets passer Aaron Rodgers - who entered Week 4 with 59,679 career yards - ranks ninth all time.

Stafford - the No. 1 pick in 2009 - played his first 12 NFL seasons for the Detroit Lions and passed for 45,109 yards, the most in franchise history. He then joined the Rams as part of a blockbuster 2021 trade and has since added to his standout NFL journey.

With 359 career passing touchdowns, Stafford ranks 11th in NFL history and is just shy of Manning's 366.

Joining the NFL's top 10 in significant passing categories is a relevant achievement for a career that one day could send Stafford to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Though the 36-year-old has only two Pro Bowl nods and has never been named an All-Pro, he led the Rams to a Super Bowl title in his first season with the team.

Stafford remains the fastest player in NFL history to reach 40,000 career passing yards. His career average of 271.8 passing yards per game ranks fourth all time.
