Saleh: Rodgers will be fine after suffering low ankle sprain
Robert Saleh confirmed quarterback Aaron Rodgers sustained a low ankle sprain Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, but the New York Jets head coach isn't too concerned.
"All the preliminary stuff says he'll be fine," Saleh said at his Monday press conference.
Rodgers suffered the injury in the third quarter while taking a hit on a pass attempt.
Rodgers entered the medical tent for evaluation but didn't miss a snap. He finished the contest with 29 completions on 54 attempts for 244 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions.
The 40-year-old was picked off at the Vikings' 26-yard line down 23-17 with 49 seconds left.
"I talked with him last night, he's doing fine," Saleh said. "Obviously, he's a little banged up, but he feels good."
New York has struggled to move the ball over its last two contests, totaling only 502 yards of offense and 26 points. They will face off against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football in Week 6.
